Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Beloved, I remember vividly like yesterday the first song I learnt as a born Again on that Wednesday evening a bit over 30 years ago.
The song says,
I have Peace, perfect peace, peace forever, since Jesus came into my life.
My tears He has removed,
My night He turns to day.
Since Jesus came into my life. End.
This song put an end to most of the worries I had when I took the trip to that fellowship that day and made the decision to follow Jesus.
Beloved, Jesus' title as the Prince of Peace, shows that He is a Prince because He is the son of God, The King Eternal. His mission on earth is to reconcile man and God thereby restoring the broken relationship brought about by Adam in the Garden of Eden. What He did was to restore Peace to man who was estranged from God.
He restored Peace to the troubled relationship between man and God.
The first Adam brought sin, confusion and death while Jesus the second Adam Brough us PEACE when He gave His life for us.
In John 20vs11,13, the first words of Jesus to the troubled and terribly afraid disciples after His resurrection, was "Peace be unto you"
Long before His resurrection, He admonished His disciples or followers that it is only in Him they will find Peace because in the world out there, they will always face tribulations.
John 16vs33.
All these He said to confirm one of His titles that Isaiah, mentioned in Isaiah 9vs6, about 700 years before His virgin birth. THE PRINCE OF PEACE.
Jesus did everything in His earthly ministry to prove that He is The Peace the world needs.
Once He was in a ship with His disciples and there was a storm. Once the terrified disciples called Him up, He commanded The Storm to cease as He said Peace be still. Immediately, the storm ceased.
Mark 4vs36-40
I command every storm in your life to cease right away in Jesus name. Amen.
In Matthew 11vs28, He asked anyone troubled, battered, going through issues and confused to come to Him and have Rest, which is another word for Peace.
To me Jesus is the custodian of the Peace that passes all understanding that no man can give except Him.
Are you troubled , confused, struggling, fearful of the unknown?
Invite Jesus into the situation and He will settle and calm you down, so that you can be calm enough to tackle the challenges.
Jesus in you plus nothing is all you need to live a life pleasing to God in all your career, business and any thing legitimate you set your heart to do.
The year has just began, make Jesus your Partner and see how He pilots you with ease all through the year. THE PEACE THAT YOU NEED IS ONLY FOUND IN JESUS.
God alone is my Source of health and strength.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
PRAYERS.
Heavenly Father, please in Your mercy, help the world to embrace Jesus as all they will ever need in their sojourn all through this year in Jesus name.
