TRUST GOD TO CLEAR YOUR DOUBTS

Matthew 1:20, 24-25 

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Glory be to God who counted us worthy to be alive today. Thank You Father Lord in Jesus name.

Beloved, we are still on why the world has to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.

In the last post we learnt that when Joseph saw that his fiancee who was a virgin became pregnant, the Bible recorded that instead of disgracing her, thought of calling off the marriage secretly, but being a just man who feared God, he was worried, and God visited him.

I see God visiting you soon over that matter troubling your spirit in Jesus name. Amen.

The Bible further revealed that as soon as God cleared Joseph's doubt in a dream, telling him that He God is involved in Mary's case, and told him of who his wife had in her womb, he relaxed and I am very sure, he became excited and expectant. I am very convinced that the fact that he was going to be a foster father to the Saviour of the world overwhelmed him.

I also want you to know that it is because Joseph was a godly man, just, and also feared the Lord, that he was able to cope.

Next, it was recorded in the Bible that Joseph never slept with his wife till the Holy child was born. 

WHAT A SACRIFICE!

You see, Jesus was not concieved through the coming together of a man and a woman in a sexual intimacy. All through her pregnancy there was no contamination. Remember, Mary was a virgin.

God took every precaution so that there will be no pollution or stain in the Blood of Jesus. This is why the Blood of Jesus is more superior till date to the blood of animals used in sacrifices. This explains why the Blood of Jesus paid for all mankind's sins and all his unrighteousness.

Remember also that the life of the flesh is in the blood.

Leviticus 17vs11.

The Blood that Jesus shed for man is why we say that Jesus gave His life for our redemption. No man could have agreed to become the sacrificial Lamb for the remission of the sins of the world, but Jesus did.

Beloved the moment you surrender to the Lord sincerely, it means you believe in Him, His Blood will cleanse you from all your unrighteousness and you become equiped and empowered by the Spirit of God to begin to do exploits for God.

Remember that God created you and I for His pleasure. 

Revelation 4vs11.

Live to please God and He will guide, direct, and give you clear revelations.

GOD FIGHTS FOR HIS OWN.

Matthew 1:18-21

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Getting up this morning was a bit of a drag because it was so cold. Thank You Father Lord for this beautiful natural AC you have provided for those who cannot afford one, and even those who can't use theirs because of light issues. Daddy to You alone be all the glory.

In our last post we learnt how God sent Angel Gabriel to a virgin named Mary that the Holy Ghost will come upon her and she will conceived and bear a son who will save the world from their sin.

Mary got truly pregnant and Joseph her fiance being a just man didn't understand what Mary was explaining to him and thought of calling off their marriage but God moved in at that period of confusion.

I see God moving in that matter where you are confused and don't know what else to do.

That night God visited Joseph and told him to take Mary his wife, believe her and stay by her because God is involved in what is happening to her.

Joseph believed and took in his wife. This was easy for Joseph because he already had an intimacy with God.

In Genesis 12vs7-20, Sarah Abraham's wife was taken to Pharaoh because Abraham told them she is his sister. God plagued Pharaoh and his household untill they found out that their sin was that they took Sarah who was Abraham's wife. They restored her and chased Abraham and his family out of Egypt.

This same thing repeated itself with Abimelech when he took Sarah to be his wife. Again, God fought for Sarah and she again was restored to her husband,

Genesis 20vs2-14.

Many years later, Isaac did the same thing in Gerar, when he lied that Rebekah was his sister and the king took her for his wife. Later the king found out the truth, and Rebekah was restored to Isaac.

Genesis 26vs7-11.

GOD FIGHTS FOR HIS HELPLESS CHILDREN.

God by Himself spoke to Joseph in a dream, as he was thinking of putting Mary away because she was found to be pregnant before their marriage, Joseph never argued or doubted God but believed. Joseph must have sought the face of God over the issue knowing that Mary was a virgin. 

Beloved being intimate with God is to our own advantage. We are not doing God any favour.

Às children of God therefore, let us strive to be surrendered totally to God, so He can take charge and manage our lives for us.

Do so now if you haven't done so yet. If you were once surrendered, but now you know you are living in sin, rededicate your life afresh to God now so He can start anew with you.

THE POWER OF LOVE

John 3:16 

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

That you and I are alive today is a testimony that God is not done with us. This is a proof that He will bring to pass all His promises to you and I. Thank You Father Lord,in Jesus name. Amen.

Beloved, the power of unconditional love is inestimable. Our text above tells us that God our Father, out of deep heart of love gave us His only son. We His children should do likewise knowing the reason why He gave us His best. He gave His best as a ransome for the world. Such a major event in this season which is the birth of Jesus must be honoured, respected and well celebrated. God knew that if Jesus didn't come to rescue mankind, we will all be lost. What did God do?

He gave us Jesus who is His best.

No body, I mean no man will agree to part with what is so precious to them but God did. Jesus was our sacrificial Lamb, in order for the world not to perish.

So in other words, this season is a season of demonstration of love. If God for the sake of love gave us His only begotten Son Jesus, we have to emulate Him and show love at this time. God gave to a dark perishing world so we His children should emulate Him and give to the helpless and hopeless., eg the poor, widows and widowers indeed, the elderly, the sick, destitute, prisoners and as many as we sense have a need. 

You do not have to be rich to give. Give something because, I always believe that no matter what, you are better than someone else. Your giving can be a visit, a little provision, some cash, used wears but in good condition, cooked food or raw foodstuff, etc etc. Whatever will make Your neighbour happy this season, please do it. Let us cultivate the habit of giving, as this pleases God.

Nevertheless it takes a heart of compassion to give. Giving from a pure heart of love is godly. On God's judgement day, GIVING, will be one of the charges that you and I are going to be judged on, according to Matthew 25vs34-36.

Beloved, if God our Father gave the world His best, the least you and I must do is to show that we are His true children by making Love and giving a part of us.

Let us go into our wardrobes, kitchen, pockets, etc and get things out with which to put smiles on the faces of others this season and please God our Father, who created us for His pleasure.

Revelation 4vs11.

JESUS CAME TO SAVE THE WORLD

Mark 1:1-3 

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Beloved, there is a great need to know why Jesus came to earth before we can appreciate why there is so much rejoicing in marking His birth.

We are told in the Gospel according Mark, that John the Baptist was sent ahead of Jesus to prepare the people for His coming. He did this by asking the people to repent of their sins and he Baptised them in water unto repentance.

He told them that he was just a fore runner of Jesus who will come and when he comes, He will baptise them with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Beloved, Jesus came to reconcile mankind with God. Why? After Adam fell by sin in the Garden where God put him and his wife Eve, man died spiritually and lost God's glory on him. Man became separated from God. God in His mercy killed an animal, used the blood to cover their sin and used the animal skin to cover their nakedness.

God is too holy to behold sin. From then each time man sinned an animal dies and the blood is used to cover the sin. Why?

The Life of an animal is in the blood.

Leviticus 17vs11.

That animal takes the place of the man that sinned.

Animal sacrifices in place of man, continued even after God destroyed the 1st world of Noah with flood. 

After some times, God decided to send Jesus to earth to make one sacrifice for all with His Blood. Jesus knew no sin so His Blood is uncontaminated and unpoluted. The blood of the animals being used were poluted.

The Blood of Jesus is divine, spotless, without stain or wrinkles.

He has to come to earth as man because at creation, God gave the earth to man. To come for the work of redemption, He has to be born. In all other holy Books, it has been confirmed that Mary the mother of Jesus conceived Jesus as a virgin without knowing any man.

For these divine qualities and more Jesus is the only One who could redeem man from the power of satan and sin thereby reconciling man with God and restoring man's lost glory.

This is why Christians celebrate the birth of the Saviour of the world. To redeem the world from the power of darkness and satan was not an easy task but Jesus agreed to come, suffer the pains, the agony, the humiliation, denials, the shame, and so much more to get us this freedom.

This season is worth celebrating and passionately too.

In a nutshell, christians celebrate, Salvation, freedom from Satan, restoration of lost glory and knowing that man is now reconciled with his Maker and eternity with Him in heaven is sure after life here.

To understand this, you must first and foremost be born again or better still, surrender your life fully to God so that the Blood of Jesus can wash you clean and then God's Spirit will empower you to follow and serve God in His terms. Live to please God.

JESUS THE SAVIOUR. THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Beloved, there are melodious carol songs everywhere these days which signify that the yuletide season which marks the birth of the Lord Jesus is here.

I have heard several arguments as to the exact time of the birth of our the Lord Jesus, but one thing that can't be argued is that JESUS WAS BORN. Hallelujah.

Many people the world over are preparing now for vacations, parties, shopping for new wears, various celebrations, etc during this important sacred season. I WISH TO LET US ALL KNOW THAT THE REASON FOR THIS YULETIDE SEASON IS THE BIRTH OF THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD. Most persons are majoring in the minor.

THE SEASON IS ABOUT JESUS.

It shouldn't be about the merriments, partying, holidaying and the like. It is about Jesus, the Saviour of the world. But for Jesus who came to salvage the world, it would have perished.

Jesus is God come down to earth through the virgin birth which was prophesied hundreds of years before He came. The Book of Isaiah 7vs14, tells us that a virgin shall concieve and bear a son and shall be called Emmanuel meaning God with us.

As christians, we are celebrating God come down to dwell among men. It is the coming to earth of the Saviour of mankind. If Jesus did not come to reconcile fallen man with God through His death on the cross at Calvary having shed His Blood, died, was buried, rose again on the 3rd day, ascended into heaven and is now interceding for you and I in heaven where He had gone to prepare a place for us, the world would have been doomed.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. WE ARE CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF JESUS.

Be conscious of what you are celebrating, as it is a season of thanksgiving, jubilation, praises to God and exchange of gifts.

Let us publicise the reason for the season to our neighbours around us who think only about the merriment denying the real reason which is the birth of the Saviour of the world.

Isaiah 7:14 

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

PRAYERS.

Heavenly Father, thank You for coming down to earth through the virgin birth. Thank You for saving the world by Your coming to earth in Jesus name. Amen.

OUR GOD IS A JUST GOD

Lamentations 3:35-36

To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High, To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.

Beloved our God is just in all His ways. He hates oppression, especially when His children are involved.

This was why king David, chose that God should punish him for numbering Israel rather than fall into the hands of men. King David knew that God is merciful and will tamper justice with mercy.

Truly after the Angel of death had slaughtered 70000 men for the sin that king David committed, God repented and told the Angel to stop that it was enough.

1 Chronicles 21vs13-14.

God will never support or agree to the oppression of any of His children or for punishing them unjustly.

Before you begin to deny other persons their rights or entitlements, or oppress them because you feel they are not capable to deliver themselves from your grip or defend themselves adequately, have you asked from God before embarking on that your mission. For any true child of God, who values the anointing of God on them, God will never allow them to be unjustly dealt with by their adversaries. 

In Isaiah 54vs8, God said that because He loves His children so much, He can only be angry with them for a while. His mercies and love for His children will only allow Him hide His face from them just for a while. Be that as it is, no enemy is permitted to sieze that opportunity to tamper with His children. No. The enemy has no such permission.

He even told us further that no matter what happens, His love and mercy will never depart from His children.

My people have a parable that says, " beat my child for me, is not meant at all by the mother." If you are wise never beat another woman's child, even if she asks you to. God has not permitted anyone to ill treat, oppress, or punish His children any how without His permission. This means that no man can subvert us in our cause not approved by God. Hallelujah.

This is why God is warning that whoever gathers, plots or conspires against His children which is not by Him shall surely fall for their sake. Again, that no weapon formed against His children shall ever prosper.

Isaiah 54vs15, 17.

Knowing this therefore, what must children of God do to reciprocate such depths of love?

Very simple!

Be born again. Dedicate your life daily to God.

Resolve to live holy and righteous, in humility and complete obedience to this great God.

Live to please God.

THE DOORS ARE OPEN

There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me.

(TPT)

It's a bright and beautiful cold harmattan morning. Father Lord, thank You for making us experience and enjoy the changing times and seasons in our part of the world. Glory be to Your honour and glory Oh Lord.

Today dearly beloved, God has some encouraging and refreshing news for us. God our Father is drawing our attention to what He has already done which we may not be aware of. He says that He has opened great doors of victories, successes, safety, breakthroughs blessings etc for you and I. He went further to say to us that we are not assessing these doors easily because our common enemy is a barrier.

Knowning this therefore, we must rise up to dislodge whatever blockade is on our way. This enemy is standing as oppositions, barricades, obstacles, delays, details, frustrations, hindrances, etc

How do we go about dislodging the adversary?

I remembered that our Father and our Lord had told us in His word to resist the enemy and he will flee from us.

James 4vs7

Fleeing from the devil who is a common enemy to man, starts with surrendering ones life totally to God Almighty so that the Blood of Jesus can wash clean such a life, so that He can be in such a life as Lord and Saviour.

After giving ones life to Christ, such a one can be empowered by God's Spirit to be the son of God who will be bold and able to resist temptations and all occasions that lead to sin. 

John 1vs12.

Sin is the tool used by our common enemy who is the devil to defile, pollute, weaken and truncate, the destinies of many.

To live in the consciousness of victory, success, breakthroughs, open heavens and open doors, let us resist the devil who is our adversaries in all his ways in Jesus name. Amen.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

WHAT WAS MEANT FOR EVIL FOR ME, GOD TURNED IT AROUND FOR MY GOOD

2 Samuel 6:9-11 

And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?

So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.

And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.

Beloved if sincerely you are a child of God, whatever is meant for evil towards you, the God you serve will turn it around for your good.

In the Boible verse for today, we are told how, David carried the Ark of God, after Uzzah died from touching it, to the house of a commoner called Obed Edom. He should die also was all that king David cared about. But instead within a space of 3 months, Obed Edom so prospered that the entire nation heard of it.

I pray for you that, whatever has been projected for evil against you and yours, God will turn it around for your good. 

In Daniel 3, there was a conspiracy against the 3 Hebrew men. They were expected to bow to the golden image but their refusal to bow to an idol earned them promotion to high executive offices as their reward.

I pray for you that every plan to trap you with your service to Jehovah God Almighty will earn you divine promotions.

Beloved, as long as you are in right standing with God, whatever plans, plots, and conspiracies of the evil ones against you will fail, and God will turn it around for your good in Jesus name.

Be fully surrendered to God.

Then the king promoted Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego, in the Province of Babylon. 

PRAYERS

In the name of Jesus, I command that all plans and conspiracies of the enemies against my children and I backfires on them while we are lifted and promoted by their evil in Jesus name. Amen.

HURTING THE ANOINTED OF GOD, IS HURTING THE LORD HIMSELF

Acts 9:3-5

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

When God warned in Psalms 105vs15, not to touch His anointed nor do His Prophets any harm, He was not kidding. He meant every word of it.

The story above from where our Bible text was taken was the story of the persecution of Christians in the early church, by Saul of Tarsus who later became Paul the Apostle. In the story, Jesus Himself accosted Saul on his way to Damascus, and told him point blank that it was He Jesus that he was fighting by persecuting the christians, and in any case he was fighting a futile battle. After this encounter, Saul was arrested by the Spirit of God, and he preached and died preaching and defending the same Gospel he persecuted so much.

Beloved, touching, hurting, fighting, harming God's anointed Is a direct attack on God Himself. He will surely fight back terribly.

This is why for anyone who is a Christian, do all you can to live a life pleasing to God. Live holy and righteous. Obey God completely and instantly. Serve God faithfully so that before you call, He will answer and while you are yet speaking, He will hear.

God does not joke with His children.

When we give God our obedience, He will do for us all He has promised but in His own time.

Ecclesiastes 3vs11.

When the fleeing children of Israel got to the Red Sea, they lost hope of surviving Pharaoh, and ignorant Pharaoh and his army thought that they had caught up with the Israelites at the Red Sea.

God moved and made a way of escape on the Red Sea for His children the Israelites, but buried Pharaoh and his army in the same Red Sea. It was their floating weapons that became the Israelites first weapons of war.

Beloved, every child of God is anointed, BUT how you treat God's anointing on you determines how the anointing which is God's Presence will work for you.

You are anointed, and you are drinking alcohol, and even getting drunk, you are smoking like a chimney, fornicating, lying, full of anger, bitterness and unforgiveness, pride, envy etc and you want God to come to your rescue when you have defiled His Temple which is your body? No, No, it doesn't work that way.

Flee all sinful lusts and do all you can to please God and He will be there for you.

Rededicate your life afresh now and start a new life of righteous living with God. It is never too late as long as we are alive.

BE CAREFUL WHO YOU FIGHT

Psalms 105:14-15  

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Our Bible text today is a stern warning from God concerning those who fight and or hurt His children. If only children of God will obey God their Father, He has them divinely secured and protected. God's thoughts towards His own are thoughts of good and not of evil to give them a successful end. Jeremaiah 29vs11.

CHILDREN OF GOD, WE HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO LIVE VICTORIOUS LIVES. LET US JUST BE OBEDIENT CHILDREN TO GODS COMMANDS.

Here in the above verse, God is warning generally against anyone who plans, plots or conspires against His children. 

This is why I counsel people who do evil and boast any how, to be very careful, and know who they fight.

Goliath looked at David, disdained him but at the end of the day, the same little David that he despised, cut off his head with his own sword because he (David) didn't have a sword. Be careful who you fight. 

1 Samuel 17vs42-51.

Anointing is more powerful than strength and weapons. God fights for His own 

Exodus 14vs14.

In the Book of Esther Haman had plotted and conspired against not only Mordecai but all the Jews. At the end of the day in the turn of events, Haman was hanged on the gallows which he had built to hang Mordecai. He also lost his Palace to Mordecai.

Esther 8vs1-2.

TOUCH NOT GODS ANOINTED AND DO HIS PROPHETS NO HARM. Whenever God's anointed is hurt wrongly, God is pained and He reacts.

Saul though was an anointed king,, he hated little David with a passion which was his error and mistake, and sought to kill him in several attempts. David had opportunities to kill Saul but never did. Why? He said Saul was an anointed of God. At the end of the day Saul died miserably along with his children, brothers and great men of war.

1 Samuel 31vs1-13.

Respect God's anointed even if a little child.

Those who conspired and lied against Daniel, became food for the same lions that didn't hurt or touch Daniel who spent a whole night with them in the lion's den.

Daniel 6vs23-24.

See ehh, if you are a true child of God, live as one and God who chose and anointed you will fight for you. You cannot be a child of God and you are living in unforgiveness, bitterness, malice, lies, pride, ego, envy etc and you expect God to come to your defence or rescue. No! It does not work that way.

Resolve to serve God in His own terms and His anointing on you will speak safety for you anywhere you go.

Respect God's anointing and be careful who you fight.

GOD DESERVES OUR BEST - Part 4

Father Lord, I bow to You in humble adoration to worship Your majesty. Thank You for not allowing the evil and wicked ones to exact upon us while we slept. We are grateful Father in Jesus name. Amen.

In this 4th part on this series, I want to dwell on 2 other aspects of giving.

In Genesis 18vs1-5, Abraham was relaxing one hot afternoon at the verandah of his house when he saw 3 strangers. He guessed they may have travelled a long way in the hot afternoon, may be hungry, thirsty, and needed rest. Mind you, it was his heart of giving that drew him to them. He pleaded with them to allow him entertain them. At the end of the day after he had given them food and rest, they blessed him and Sarah his wife and in 9 months, Issac was born.

Again in Genesis 19vs1-3, same thing happened to Lot. He saw 2 strangers not knowing they were Angels. He equally entertained them without their asking him.This kind act of giving willingly, cheerfully, honours God and the blessings can't be estimated. For Lot's kind deed, he and his family were delivered from the destruction that befell Sodom and Gom9rrah, though his wife out of disobedience looked back, and became a Pillar of salt.

Give, be hospitable, because you may not know when you entertain God's Angels.

The 2nd aspect I want to talk about as I close this series on Giving God our Best is a warning. This is for those who come to church looking for change from offerings already given.

Take this or leave it, that offering, or seed which you sow or your tithe, is the sacrifice you give to God for your heart desire. Your offering, seed, or tithe is what you send on an errand to God. Better still your givings carry your problems, challenges, sicknesses etc away from you to God, so that God who sees how genuine and sincere you are and the heart from which the giving proceeds will reply you accordingly.

Imagine a seed carrying sicknesses, challenges etc to God and you go and take it as change with which to offer to God. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. What do you expect? Your guess is as good as mine. YOU INHERIT WHAT YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

Prepare all your givings in church from home. It is more dignifying and honourable to God. DONT COME TO CHURCH TO BE LOOKING FOR CHANGE. Change your money from home and prepare your offerings from home. This is between you and God alone.

This is a personal revelation I recieved from God.
I know some of us may argue this but are you not aware that after giving offerings in church, the offerings are prayed over and presented to God for acceptance?

He who has ears let him hear what the Spirit is saying to us His church.
Revelations 2vs7.

In conclusion, let us see our giving as a means of honouring and obeying God while we wait for the good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over blessings.
Luke 6vs38.

Let us never for any reason trivialise any opportunity to  give because we may not know we are giving directly to God, or His Angels.

Another concluding warning is to those who steal church offerings that has been given to God because, they are heaping curses on themselves as they have stolen from God.

Let us rededicate our lives to God peradventure we have fallen victim to any of the issues mentioned in this post. Let's ask for God's forgiveness and mercy as we resolve to turn a new leaf.

Glory be to God who woke us up again this morning. Thank You Father Lord in the matchless name of Jesus.

Come to think of it, What is Giving?

This is the act of providing or releasing to another, or bestowing something without expecting anything in return.

So what can we give?

We can give our time, to visit someone bereaved, someone who needs attention. We can give a smile, counsel, material things, money, Praises, thanksgiving or from our resources.

All givings should be from a sincere heart of love. That is when your giving will be acceptable by God. When we hear giving, we shouldn't narrow our minds down to money alone. No!

Giving is much more than that. Remember that it is a command from God. Luke 6vs38.

Beloved whenever opportunity avails itself to give, be sure to make it a quality giving.

Knowing therefore that giving is done to please God, let us give Him our best.

When I was in the world, and was visiting native doctors, when they ask me or a friend to give a fowl or goat, we go for the best. You dare not give them a one eyed, or lame, or sick animal. You won't even dare it. You can go as far as asking someone to check it out for quality before it is given to the babalawo.

What do you see in our churches today, during offering for instance? Someone squeezes a dirty torn currency, that a bike rider rejected and drop it in the offering bag or basket which is God's hand. Nobody knows or saw that you are the one who dropped such an offensive offering but the God who commanded us to give SAW YOU. What an insult! What will such a hand withdraw from the offering bag or hasket which is God's hand, that is filled with blessings? Nothing or even God's wrath.

Some of us in giving to the orphans, widows, elderly etc, give torn or worn out outfits in terrible shapes. At times it is when we buy plantain and all are over ripe and we have no means of preserving them that we share them to others, or when your yams, beans, and garri, are getting bad, that we begin to look for who to give. This is not good. No, it is not an acceptable giving.

Beloved this is what God is drawing our attention to in our Bible text above. He says that we have no respect in giving, hence we bring poluted offerings to Him. What we give is likened to the blind and the lame. We call that offering that we give to Him, all because we don't see Him physically. He even told us that such things that we can't even give to our Governors, we bring them to Him. Oh Lord, we are sorry. I repent on our behalf Lord.

Let us be warned, and be guided in all our givings. Let us give our best whenever we have the opportunity to give. as you may not know when you are hosting God Himself.

There's nothing wrong in giving used clothes and shoes but wash, iron, mend torn ones, just let them be in good condition.

Your offerings in church should be prepared from home neatly and if possible put them with respect in an envelope and drop your offerings with utmost reverence and cheerfully too.

If Jesus delays His coming, we will discuss further on this in our next post.

It takes a heart totally surrendered to God to understand this way of giving. Are you surrendered yet to God, where not do so now so you can be washed in the Blood of the Lamb and be empowered to serve God better and be acceptable unto Him.

The way this leap year is leaping, I pray that it leaps away with all our aches, pains worries, and frustrations, while revealing a renewed you and I, as we enter the new year in Jesus mighty name.

Beloved, we are still on The Topic "Giving God Our Best" God deserves our best. By the way whatever we are giving to God, He first gave it to us. He owns everything according Psalm 24vs1. Knowing this therefore, we should be guided in all our givings.

Of a truth, God's children perish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4vs6.

If you understand that, the receiving hand of the poor, destitute, widow, orphans, the sick, prisoners etc are all GODS HAND, overflowing with the heart desires, and expectations we have been praying for, all men will change their attitude to giving, wether you are giving to individuals, corporate bodies or in a church setting.

Knowing this hard truth therefore we must give our best and not reject, reliant or when we have surplus. 

What do I mean you may ask?

If you understand that your giving is unto the God who you are expecting answers and blessings from, then you will give to impress Him as to win His heart.

In the next post, I will break these down further because many of us have wallowed in this ignorance of giving for too long.

Whenever opportunity presents itself to anyone to give from now on, give your best because all we have is given to us by the Lord. Since giving is a command, according to Luke 6vs38, He knows how to replenish any Giver because whatever you give to anybody is in obedience to His command.

Remember, Givers Never Lack.

I can testify to this.

Be sure as a child of God to rededicate your life daily to God because sooner than we expect our time here on earth will be over and it will be time for accountability.

Romans 14vs12.

If not yet born again, surrender your life now by confessing your sins, asking God for mercy and forgiveness, so that you can be washed and cleansed by the Blood of Jesus, so that your name will be written in the Book of life. It is after this that you can qualify to benefit as a child of God, even as you live righteously in obedience to God and His commands.

I welcome you to another beautiful and bright day filled with blessings from God's throne of grave.

I wish us all a great day dearly beloved.

Our Theme today says that our God deserves our best. Yes, our very best. Our best here is talking about quality offering and not the quantity.

To buttress this, Jesus our Saviour drew the attention of His disciples in Luke 21vs1-4, to a widow who gave 2 mites during a thanksgiving service. He noted that she gave the best because she gave her all and it was from her heart.

We also saw in Genesis 4vs3-7, that Cains offering was rejected by God because it came from a perverted heart.

Many of us give and give but complain that there is nothing to show for it. The question is what do you give and how?

First and foremost the way some of us give is very disrespectful to God. How you may ask?

When offering time is announced in church, some people's countenance will just change, their morale will drop and you will hear things like, CANT THEY DO WITHOUT ASKING FOR OFFERING? and, THEY HAVE STARTED AGAIN. 

My dear after saying all these, grumbling and murmuring, even in your heart, if you like give millions of naira. God won't accept. You know why? He will accept you first before He accepts your offerings, again, God loves a cheerful Giver.

Many of us do not know that the offering bowl or basket or bag is GOD'S HAND WITH DIVERSE BLESSINGS.

After dropping your offering reverently into God's hand, when you are now withdrawing your hand, from the offering bag which is Gods hand, you withdraw your needed blessings.

THIS IS WHY YOU MUST BE EXCITED DURING OFFERING TIME.

What do you see most times during offering time, people will squeeze their offerings (we will talk about that later) and throw it in into the collecting bowl carelessly. What a disrespect! 

We must learn to prepare our offerings from home. Lets teach our children that. If possible let us put everyone's offering in an envelope which will be given to them at offering time in church and monitored to be sure they give the offering reverently. Monitor your children because some of them are tempted to spend their offerings. Children do this a lot.

Church shouldn't be where you will begin to look for change with which to give offering. once it is offering time. It is wrong and there is grave danger in this also that many dont know. We will talk about all these in our next post if Jesus hasn't come. God deserves our best and with utmost reverence.

GOD IS OUR REWARDER

Revelation 22:12-13
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Simply put, our text above is reminding us that, whatever we do here on earth has a reward and that God is The Rewarder. God is the only One that rewards us here with what money can buy and what money cannot buy and hereafter, He will reward us with Eternity.

Knowing this therefore, never you expect a reward from those you did good for while here on earth because you may not be able to cope with the disappointment. If people appreciate you, all well and good but where not, let God who is your Source reward you. I tell you He will surpass your expectation. If you know that every other means or persons are Channels of blessings while only God is your Source, He will supply your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4vs19.

Let the era of believing that so, so, and so will do this for me, die in your life. If you trust God here as your Source, He will show up with pleasant surprises anytime you are in need because He is the God of On Time.

I write from personal experience in this my walk with my God.

Recently, a family blessed me with stuffs, and I thanked God because the gifts settled all we will ever need for the yuletide period. He had told me sometimes ago that there was a day I gave him 500 naira. That money according to him was worth to him then 5 million naira when I gave it to him.

Exactly 4 days after, this family sent the stuffs, I had need, I mean needs. I said to God thank You for supplying ahead of time all I needed but nevertheless, you know what is expected of me. Beloved, God scared me. As the Alpha and Omega, He made sure there was surplus. Glory be to God.

Beloved let us trust Him that while still here on earth, He will never put us to shame, then in the hereafter if we persevere, He will reward us with eternal life.

Beloved, let us trust God, serve Him in holiness, righteousness, humility and total obedience, because heaven is not an option but our ultimate goal.

Surrender fully now to God, if you haven't done so yet, so you can be washed by the Blood of the Lamb and then empowered and equiped to live here on earth, and then be prepared for when He will finally come to reward His own.

HONOUR GOD FOR HIS WORD

Proverbs 16:7  

When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Glory, honour, and adoration to the King Eternal, The Lord Jesus.

Beloved, if God told us in His word that He honours His word above His name, He means every word of it. The wisest thing therefore any child of God should do is to honour His word and hold it in very dear.

Psalms 138vs2.

Our text above tells us that if our ways please God, He will cause all our enemies to be at peace with us. Glory be to God.

For your ways to please God who created us for His pleasure, we must serve Him in righteousness, and in complete obedience.

When you live to please God, you must be forgiving 70×7 times daily. This means you don't keep malice. When you obey God and keep no enemies, God will trouble those keeping malice with you. He will make them be at peace with you.

I use to wonder how one can keep enemity with someone for a long time. If I am hurt, it can last for sometime and when I see the person that hurt me wether they apologise or not, I seek to relate with them. Since I read it in the Scriptures and I know that if I don't forgive God my Father wont forgive me, I make up quickly and let God be the Judge.

The one I don't understand at all is when some people accuse their parents of witchcraft or being responsible for their woes or calamities. I am not saying that parents are saints. Some parents are something else. EVEN AT THAT SHOW THEM LOVE. THEY BROUGHT YOU TO EARTH. RESPECT AND HONOUR THEM.

Your biological and spiritual parents are to be honoured as that is the only commandment with a promise of longevity and prosperity.

NOBODY CAN LOVE YOU GENUINELY LIKE YOUR PARENTS.

I listened to a young man recall with regret and bitter tears in his eyes what his Pastor did to him. He said his Pastor told him that he should cut off from his mother as she is a witch and responsible for his predicament. This same Pastor 10 whole years down the line, announced his mother's birthday which all must contribute to. Then he went on to say among many offensive things that some of you here have not seen your mother for years, nor do cater for them and you want to prosper. He added that such persons are fools. He said he thought that he was dreaming but that was reality.

The next morning, old boy bought his ticket and flew down to the country to see the wreck that was left of his mum. He was now apologising. IF YOU NEGLECT YOUR PARENTS, YOU WONT MAKE IT THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE. YOU WILL BE EVER STRUGGLING!

God's word cannot be broken. Obey God and then report contrary issues to Him.

If you are genuinely born again, your main concern is how to please God at all times and bearing grudges or keeping malice will be the last thing to cross your mind.

If you are struggling with surrendering your life, ask the Holy Spirit of God to help you as He will empower you and enable you to serve God in a way that will please Him so that your enemies will be at peace with you.

THE PRESENCE OF GOD

1 Samuel 5:1, 4, 7 

And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

The Lord is in His holy Temple. Let all the earth keep silence for a moment before Him.

Thank God it's another beautiful Sunday morning.

Beloved, the story above is a very interesting one. Please I encourage you to read the entire chapter. It is only 12 verses.

In summary, the Phillistines fought with Israel and captured the Ark of God. They took the Ark that carries The Presence of God to the house of Dagon their god.

What an effrontery!

The very next morning, they met that Dagon had fallen before the Ark of God. They took it up and steadied it but by the 2nd morning, not only was Dagon fallen down but the head, hands and legs of Dagon were all broken and cut off. It's on record in the Bible that till date the elders never entered the house of Dagon again. 

In fear, they sought how to return the Ark to the Israellis. Not only were the Phillistines afraid because Dagon their god fell before the Ark twice with its head, hands and legs broken leaving just the stump, but that terrible boils and diseases broke out among them, killing many of them.

The essence of this write up is to let you know that if you are genuinely born again and are surrendered fully to the great God of heaven and earth, YOU ARE CARRYING GOD'S PRESENCE, EVEN TO YOUR POSSESSIONS. 

What this means is that, you can't be tampered with anyhow by anybody. Whoever forcefully takes what belongs to you or even steals what belongs to you has taken the Ark of God. All you need to do is to report them to your God. God will make your property to begin to PLAGUE whoever has taken it.

This is why you hear times without number kidnapped victims, testifying of being miraculously released or delivered.

Beloved, you can't be born again and you are fornicating like Samson, stealing, lying, defrauding, proud etc and you expect God to fight on your behalf. No, it doesnt work that way. You may be speaking in tongues, give the biggest tithes, offerings and seeds but if your ways are perverse, God won't hear your prayers, except you repent and ask for mercy.

I see some of us so called christians, brand their parents witches and wizards, I feel pity for such individuals. Even if they are what you suspect, or have been made to believe, honour them because of Proverbs 16vs7. It says if your ways please God, He will cause your enemies to be at peace with you.

Some of these I'll instructed individuals will justify their neglect of their parents by telling you that same Bible says, PARENTS DO NOT PROVOKE YOUR CHILDREN.

My dear do your own part.

Again God's word encourages us to give food and water to our enemies and by so doing, we heap coals of fire on them. LET GOD BE THE JUDGE.

All we are doing in this post is to let us know that if you live for God in obedience and righteousness after you surrender to Him, you will be carrying God's Presence and the scripture that says TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED....... is activated in your life.

Psalm 105vs15.

When we do God's will, He will fight for us and we will hold our peace.

Nothing goes for nothing. Salvation is free for all but Jesus paid for it when He sowed His life for it. Though free and cheap, you and I must work out our Salvation with fear and trembling.

Phillipians 2vs12.

If you are a true child of God, demons, foul spirits etc must think twice before coming near you or anything that concerns you because the Presence of God surrounds you like a shield. This was what Job was telling God in Job 1vs8-10, when he told God that Job and all his possessions were shielded by God's hedge.

This is because where God's Presence is, darkness avoid it like a virus.

Please surrender totally to God, let Him take charge, so He can make your bussiness His bussiness.

TRUST GOD COMPLETELY

Isaiah 31:3 

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

Thank You Lord for saving me, thank You my Lord.

In Exodus 14vs5-25, we found the Egyptians pursuing after the already delivered and freed Israellis, who they chased out of Egypt in a hurry and were running away for their lives. 

Exodus 12vs30-37.

They wanted them back to slavery. 

God made a way of escape for His children by parting the Red Sea but drowned and buried the hosts of the Egyptian on same Red Sea. God is God. God is no man. THE EGYPTIANS ARE MERE MORTALS. THEY ARE ORDINARY MEN. They and all they had were created by God.

In Exodus 15vs9, the Egyptians who had boasted against the Israelites that they will pursue them and take all from them, became food for the fishes in the Red Sea.

What does this tell you as a faithful child of God? You should never put your trust in man, as man is limited and can fail you anytime.

In Jeremaiah 17vs5, God placed a curse on anyone who trusts any man and to the point of making man with flesh his arm or weapon.

All the weapons of men are man made. You and I know that as children of God, our weapons of warfare are not carnal meaning they are not man made. 

1 Corinthians 10vs4-5. 

Some of our weapons include The name of Jesus, The Blood of Jesus, Holy Ghost Fire, The Whirl wind of the Lord, the Moon, The Sun, The Stars etc etc. 

The Egyptians were naive and perished for lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4vs6.

Fighting a true child of God is fighting God. Who can fight God? Who can battle with the Lord?

Beloved, breaking it down further, I want to let you know that whatever is your challenge is not God. That medical report is diagnosed by man. Seek God's opinion. God had said in His word that there shall be no barren in His house. So your delay in bringing forth children is waiting for God's appointed time.

Being faithful to God and trusting His faithfulness will bring you overwhelming testimonies that will leave you speechless. 

Before the mountains were formed God has been God and He has been around hence we call Him ANCIENT OF DAYS. 

Psalms 90vs2.

Trust God. Rely on God. Depend on Him and never for once doubt His ability.

Do everything possible to cultivate a healthy relationship between you and God and you will have no need to trust in any other.

SELFLESSNESS

Matthew 22:37, 39 

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Father Lord, to You alone Oh Lord be all the glory, honour and adoration forever in Jesus name.

Beloved, today we are going to be talking of how to love our neighbour as ourselves.

The first thing that came to my mind about this scripture is DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WANT OTHERS DO UNTO YOU.

How you treat others matter so much. How do you treat that your house help, though some of them these days have proven to be on assignment from the pit of hell, no matter how well you treat them. How do you treat your nanny, steward, driver, messenger, etc. Treat people well. 

As I meditated on this topic, the scripture that readily came to my mind is the one that talks about the GOOD Samaritan.

In Luke 10vs29-37, Jesus had just taught His disciples on love for God and our neighbour. Then one of His disciples asked WHO WAS HIS NEIGHBOUR?

Jesus illustrated this with the story of the Good Samaritan.

A certain man on a journey, was attacked by Robbers and left for dead. A Priest passed by likewise a minister of God's word, saw this wounded man and went away without any form of assistance or care for him. Then a common or an ordinary man without any titles came along, saw the man lying helplessly on the Road, and went to him, gave him first aid and took him into an in. He left a deposit for the man's treatment and care, promising to return and settle whatever bill was incured. Jesus asked them to identify the wounded man's neighbour. They all agreed it was the Samaritan. Jesus encouraged His disciples to go do the same.

From this story, love for our neighbour is selflessness. it means going out of your way to assist those in need.

You don't need to know someone before you can assist them.

Love for your neighbour could mean, having a heart of compassion and empathy.

Before you can do anything for another, you must have put yourself in such a person's position before you can assist because you don't know where life will take you tomorrow.

Loving your neighbour as yourself, makes you deny yourself of some of your time and comfort just to satisfy your neighbour.

I can also confidently say, it means placing your neighbour first.

This Good Samaritan is a perfect example of loving your neighbour as yourself.

This man, suspended his journey to assist this stranger.

It takes a circumcised heart to be as selfless as this Samaritan.

This kind of heart is one that is surrendered totally to God.

Are you this surrendered? This is a call to selfless services.

My Father and my God, please give me a heart of love, compassion and mercy that will enable me to spend and be spent in Jesus name. Amen.

BE HEAVEN READY DAILY

1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Glory and honour be Yours Almighty Father for waking us up again today in Jesus name. Amen.

Beloved, how prepared are you for the return of Christ? I mean are you ready for when He will appear and send His Angel to gather the saints from all corners of the earth?

Are you prepared for this gathering in of the saints?

We call this coming The Rapture. How prepared are you for the Rapture?

Sooner than we think, it will happen. It is coming unannounced. How expectant are you of the Rapture?

PLEASE EXPECT IT: WATCH OUT FOR IT. IT IS UPON US.

How you may ask?

Live holy and righteous. Live for God. Obey Him.

Be very prayerful and watchful.

Be intimate with the Lord in prayers, praise and worship, in service to Him, in complete obedience as you serve Him in total humility.

No matter who you think you are, no matter your status in life, make heaven your ultimate.

You must not miss heaven, neither am I going to miss heaven.

Heaven is not an option but the last hope of any Believer.

Be heaven conscious. The coming of the Lord will be like of a thief who comes stealthly at night to steal. Be prepared every moment, second, minute, hour, day and at all times because His coming is very near. The signs of His coming are every where. According to Matthew 24, there will be wars everywhere, revolutions, natural disasters, crimes, nations rising against nations, etc are some of the signs. These signs are now everywhere the world over.

So beloved let us be prepared as the time of His coming is at hand. This warning is coming now so that we the saints should avoid to say, OH LORÐ HAD I KNOWN on the last day.

For those already born again, rededicate your life daily so as not to take chances. For those not yet born again, do so now so that the Blood of Jesus will wash you clean of all your unrighteousness and equip and empower you to remain and walk with the Lord so that anytime He comes to collect His own, you will stand a chance to go with Him.

THE WORD OF GOD IS EVER TRUE

Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Father Lord, we bow in humble adoration to Your majesty and most holy name. Be glorified Lord forever n Jesus name. Amen.

Dearly beloved, I want to encourage us to persevere in doing good. Never stop doing good. Don't be tired doing good.

The part of this Scripture I love most is the part that says that if we continue doing good, that we will reap at the right time if we dont stop. To me, doing good is like planting good seeds. These good seeds will germinate, blossom, bloom and bear fruits that will be harvest as blessings later.

Something happened to me recently which I wish to share here briefly. I was bereaved of a dear loved one. It happened so suddenly and I was unprepared for it. I found myself facing a burial within four days. I just went to God in prayers and asked Him to supply my needs. He heard and answered me and told me to relax.

From unexpected sources, I found my self being blessed or do I say, I began to reap, that in a space of JUST 3 DAYS, I was so blessed that I conveniently took care of the aspect I needed to attend to WITHOUT ANY STRESS nor asking anyone of any assistance. At the end I had some left overs to God's glory.

It's good to take God at His word.
At this point when I sat down to process the whole situation that look like a dream to me, I remembered the following Scriptures.

1  My God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory....
Phillipians 4vs19.
2  Cast your seeds upon the waters and you will find it after many days.
Ecclesiates 11vs1.
3  Give a portion to 7 and to 8, for you don't know which will bring the increase.
4  Sow anytime, wether in the morning, noon or evening for you don't know which will survive.
Ecclesiastes 11vs6.
5  I was young but now I am getting old, I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His children begging for bread.
Psalms 37vs25.
5  Give, it shall be given back to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will men sow to your bosom.
Luke 6vs38.

Of a truth, God honours His word.
Psalms 138vs2.

The word of God is ever true. When you as a child of God go to Him in prayers over any issue, wait on Him because  He will answer it according to His will which is always the best.

In summary, continue to do good because you are planting good seeds, and at the time of need, bountiful harvests will be waiting for you.
You can only come to this point if you have a working relationship with God. He will give you enough grace to boost your faith to wait on Him.

All these can only be possible if you have surrendered your entire life to the Lord. Ask Him to be the Lord of your life, so that the Blood of the Lamb can wash you clean and present you a living sacrifice to Him. Surrender to Him now if you haven't done so yet or may be you did before but always in sin, rededicate your life afresh to Him now and you will be entitled to all He paid for on the cross.

Don't ever be tired of doing good in your own little way for God is THE REWARDER.

Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

I welcome you to another beautiful day of the Lord. May we experience the Presence of God around us daily in Jesus name. Amen.

Dearly beloved, did you know that God cares so much about you no matter who you are? I want you to know that when you think that you are down and out, God knows and cares about you. If only you can remember to call on Him and ask for help, you will be surprised at how He will come through for you.

He had already told us that His thoughts for us is that of good and not evil to make us succeed.

Jeremaiah 29vs11. 

This verse is for both the poor and rich.

Obed Edom was of a mixed race so he was not fully Israelli but God prospered him so much in 3 months because, he gave utmost attention and reverence to the Ark of God that was taken into his house peradventure that he will die like Uzzah.

2 Samuel 6vs6.

I want you to know that the same Ark that prospered Obed Edom after killing Uzzah for touching it, had spent 20 years in Abinadabs house without any impact.

2 Samuel 6.

Mary Magdalene was delivered of 7 demons. Luke 8vs2 She was a renowned witch but when she encountered the Lord Jesus she was lifted and became the Lord's Divine Treasurer.

Rehab was a professional harlot. God located her in her lowest estate, raised her and she become one of the great grand mothers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Joshua 2vs1

Matthew 1vs5.

Beloved don't let your background put your back on the ground. If your heart is right with God whoever you are, God will help you.

God located and helped marginalised David till he became a king in Israel..

Joseph must have lost hope because his brothers sold him into slavery, but right there, God found him and made him a Prime minister in Egypt.

Genesis 41vs38-44.

Esther was a slave girl in Shushan but God found her qualified and dethroned Queen Vashti so He could enthrone Esther.

Esther1

Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego,, Mordecai are some of those God located and promoted because their heart was right with God.

Daniel 3 and Daniel 6.

The list of those termed nobody that God located and made somebody is endless.

That same God of yesterday, is same God today and will be God forever. As long as you are in right standing with Him, at His own fullness of time, He will take you to your place of rest.

God is faithful and dependable. He is trustworthy. Surrender to Him.
