Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The last Monday for the year 2024 is here. Thank You Father Lord that my loved ones and I are listed among the living this day in Jesus name. Amen.
Another name of the Lord Jesus we will consider today is MIGHTY GOD.
Jesus is referred to as Mighty because He is God, and has all the Power and Authourity, both in heaven and on earth.
This is why we as His own can boast that no man says a thing concerning us and it will come to pass when God hasn't commanded it.
Lamentation 3vs37.
He has the final say over any issue. He is strong and the God of our strength. This is why I can beat my chest and say that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Phillipians 4vs13.
Jesus is in charge hence I can say without any iota of doubt that CHRIST in me is the Hope of glory.
Colossians 1vs27.
You want a good life here and in the hereafter, then embrace His Mightiness.
Even in John 15vs5, He told us that without Him we can do nothing, and that's the simple truth.
His Mightiness was demonstrated in His countless miracles of healings, deliverances, and preaching of the word that liberated many and brought them out of darkness to God's marvellous Light.
His Mightiness was revealed in His love for mankind, and His compassion that made Him feed about 5000 men besides women and children with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 little fishes.
John 6vs5, 8-12.
When He went to the grave of Lazarus, and called him forth, death sucumbed to His Mightiness and released him immediately.
John 11vs43-44.
His numerous miracles of healings, deliverances, raising the dead etc confirmed His Mightines as the Resurrection and the Life.
John 11vs25.
Jesus as the Mighty God is a Man of War and a Hero who had never lost any war.
He killed all the first male born of men and beasts in Egypt for refusing to let the children of Israel go free from Egypt.
Exodus 12vs29.
When Pharaoh decided to be hard hearted and chased after the Israellis who he had already chased out of Egypt, The man of war, Jesus, buried him and his army in the Red Sea.
Exodus 14vs26-28.
For the above reasons, I know that with Jesus in me, I have all it takes to bring down any enemy. Besides, He told me that He will fight for me and I will hold my peace.
Exodus 14vs14.
His Mightiness was finally displayed when He rose from the dead, as He said long before He was crucified, died, was buried, rose back to life on the 3rd day, was seen alive by many before He ascended into heaven after 40 days.
Beloved Jesus is The Mighty God and there is no controversy about it at all.
Dearly beloved, we have a Mighty God who is everything that mankind will ever need. The only requirement is that we surrender fully to Him and live to please Him with all our life in all we do.
God alone is my Source of health and strength.
