Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Almighty and Ever living Father, thank You for adding my family name to the list of those who woke up this Saturday morning. To You alone Father, be all the glory.
Our Bible text above has 2 outstanding words, CONFORM which we can interpret as "to copy or to be like" and TRANSFORM which is "to change into."
What is this verse all about?
Looking at this verse from the verse 1 which we talked about in our last post, we will understand that for anyone to live a life pleasing to God, you must keep away from sin. Living a sin free life and pleasing God is a great sacrifice which is not easy.
In verse 2 above, God admonishes us not to copy the sìnful lifestyle of the people of the world, but to allow God's word to work on our minds and bring about a change in the former way we think. This change in thought in our minds will make us begin to know and love God so that we will start to understand God's lovely plans and will for our lives.
Beloved, when one is born again and is just coming out from a world ruled by customs and traditions, it will take the Holy Spirit to make them see what they are not doing right. The word of God will begin to teach, correct, guide and open their eyes of understanding to the truth they need to know. With the help of the Holy Spirit, they will begin to drop some lifestyle like pride, anger, arrogance, unforgiveness, swearing, cursing, lying, idolatry, and other wrong doings. When these traits begin to drop or go away, the individual begins to change in their former sinful way of life to what God expects of them.
Then John 8vs32 comes alive which says, that you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
I want to let us know that the essence of the Gospel is to make an Unbeliever change through God's word and be like Jesus, thereby becoming a Believer of Jesus.
Remember that the name CHRISTIANS was given to the disciples of Jesus by the native Unbelievers in Antioch. This was because they observed that His disciple were changed from what they were, and were then acting and behaving like Jesus in just a space of 31/2 years that they were with Him. They prayed like Him, showed love, compassion, healed, preached and did things the way Jesus did.
Acts 11vs26.
If you call yourself a Believer you must be renewed in your mind, by refusing to live the old life of sin but pattern your life to meet God's standards.
Surrender to the Lord now. Repent from your sins. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy so you can be forgiven, washed in the Blood of Jesus and your name written in the Book of life.
Do it now.
God alone is my Source of health, peace, joy, and strength.

PRAYERS
Our Father and our God please help me daily to live a life pleasing to You so that I will know Your perfect will for my life per time.
