Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Almighty God, unto You shall the praises of the saints come, in Jesus name. Amen.
I don't know why, for crying out loud, people doubt how powerful God is and what He can do. Some do not even believe in His Sovereignty.
Dearly beloved, God exists and He is the Creator of the Universe and all in it. God created you and I, and can determine what happens to us anytime, any day. That is the reason we must draw near to Him in obedience so that we can be intimate with Him.
God controls the Universe. He gave man dominion over the earth. Beloved, if you know what is good for you and you want to live a good life here on earth and in the hereafter eternal life, then draw near to God and seek Him with all your heart. There is no alternative to Jehovah God Almighty.
Our Bible text above emphasises on blasphemy against God and the Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit is the 3rd person in the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is God, like we have discussed earlier in previous posts.
What Is Blasphemy?
It can be defined as saying offensive things about God or religion. It could also mean being disrespectful to God, religion or the Holy Books.
Are there examples in the Bible?
Yes, very many, but we will discuss here only a few.
In Isaiah 36vs14-15;
37vs36-38. the king of Assyria, Senacherib, blasphemed against God when he arrogantly ridiculed the God of Israel to spite king Hezekiah.
God moved, and that night He sent just one Angel, who killed 185,000, Assyrian soldiers. The highly embarrassed king returned home in shame, and his own 2 sons murdered him. DON'T DARE GOD.
In 1 Samuel 17vs45-51, Goliath defied God by defying the army of Israel. Young David, killed him with just a God anointed and guided stone.
The case of the Titanic built in the 20th century about 1912, is a case that will never be forgotten. The builders of that ship ridiculed God, refusing out of ignorance to give the glory for their expertise to God. On its first trip, the ship sank killing thousands of passengers that boarded it.
One would have thought that the Titanic experience would have thought many about the powers of God. But No, it didn't.
Just recently in a hollywood city, where The Golden Globes Awards night was held, God the Creator of the Universal was mocked before the world. A few moments later a mysterious fire broke out and turned the whole city to ashes.
Are you still doubting the Sovereignty, power and authority of this great and mighty God who created the earth, and the fullness thereof. He stretched out the heavens without a Pillar over the earth. He made the endless Seas and Oceans, setting boundaries for them.
Beloved, believe whatever you want to, and think whatever you want, But you see this great God, reverence Him for who He is and for what He can do.
Never ever mock, ridicule or blaspheme God.
Repent now of all sinful thoughts and actions and surrender to the Lord so He can empower you to serve Him.
God alone is my Source of health, love, peace, joy, and strength.

Isaiah 36:19-20
Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?
Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
PRAYERS.
Heavenly Father, please in Your infinite goodness and mercy, give me more grace to know You deeper as I read, meditate, memorise and apply Your word in Jesus name. Amen.
