Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Glorious God, we bow in humble adoration for who You are and for the priviledge You have given to us to be called Your own while we can confidently call You our own. Thank You Father Lord in Jesus name.
About 700 years before the Lord Jesus was born, Prophet Isaiah prophesied His birth. The amazing thing about his prophecy is that all spoken in that prophecy about the Lord, all came to pass.
Jesus lived all the names, He was called in that prophecy.
As Wonderful, the miracles He performed were full of wonders. For instance, how do you explain His first miracle of turning water into wine.
John 2vs1-11.
He fed 5000 men besides women and children with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. If that is not Wonderful, I don't know what else is.
John 6vs9-12.
When Jesus raised Jairus daughter in her father's house, the people would have thought that the girl never really died.
He went ahead to raise the widow of Nain only son who was already being carried to the grave yard for burial. People might have said that the boy just fainted all the while he was thought to be dead.
Then when in John 11vs when He called out Lazarus from the grave where he had been buried for four days, the doubting Thomas's beled as they couldn't explain it.
If all these raising of the dead, are not Wonderful, please tell me what else is.
He did so many Wonderful miracles in His earthly ministry. For me this goes to prove that the names we bear somehow influences us in life hence we must be careful the kind of names we bearing or call our children at birth.
In our next post if Jesus has not come, we will look at the other names Jesus was referred to long before His birth.
Before then be sure to rededicate your life daily to God and live to please Him who created us for His pleasure. This we must do because heaven is non negotiable.
God alone is my Source of health and strength.
