Psalms 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Anytime I see the breaking of another day, I say, Thank You Lord. Halleluya, it's another beautiful and blessed day. To You Oh Lord be all glory and honour in Jesus name. Amen.
Truly many are the afflictions of the Righteous. See ehh, once you part ways with the devil, where you behave the way you like, talk any how, boast and do as you like, the devil is happy with you. When later you abandon him and declare for the Lord Jesus, where your words, actions and behaviours are checked and controlled by rules and principles of God's Kingdom, God is pleased with you. Once you change camp, a secret war between your flesh who is used to behaving the way it likes and the Spirit who is controlled by rules and principles begins.
May the Spirit of God in us, win over our carnal flesh in Jesus name. Amen.
When one is born again or surrenders to the Lord, your challenges which could be called afflictions increase.
Why?
No master is happy when his servant abandons him for another. Changing camp from carnal or worldly ways of doing things to a more organised, controlled and disciplined way of life, annoys the devil. It is not easy to maintain at first. The devil will go all out and can do anything to get anyone who runs away from him back. He will seduce, lure, decieve and may even apply force to get such a one back. Resist him and he will flee from you.
James 4vs7.
So at a time of many afflictions or what we call storms, who is holding your hand matters.
If you are faithfully and deeply connected to Jesus and He is holding your hand, you will sail safely through the storms and reach your destination successfully. But, if the devil is holding your hand which I do not pray for, disaster, shame, pains, losses and eventually destruction will be the end result. The choice of who to hold your hand is yours to make.
May we live the kind of life that pleases God, so that He will always be happy to hold our hand in this journey of life in Jesus name.
Be genuinely surrendered to the Lord Jesus and allow Him hold your hand as we run this race of salvation so we can finish well and finish strong because He will deliver us from all our afflictions in Jesus name. Amen.
God alone is my Source of health, love, peace, joy, and strength.
MEMORY VERSE
Isaiah 41:13
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
PRAYERS.
Almighty and Ever Living Father, help me to stay connected to You at all times, as to keep the fire on my altar burning always in Jesus name. Amen.
