Matthew 16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
We give glory to the Lord He reigns. He reigns, He reigns, He reign.
We give glory to the Lord He reigns.
Good morning, Your majesty. Thank You Father Lord for another day of life in this land of the living.
Our Bible text above shows our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ giving Peter the Keys of the Kingdom as he was the only one who answered satisfactorily Jesus' question to the disciple of who He the Son of Man is. He went further to tell him that whatever he binds on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever he loses on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Simply put Jesus told Peter that He will give him authority on earth and with the authority, whatever he forbids, limits, ties, rejects, or cancels on earth will be so in heaven and whatever he, unties, releases, or frees, will be so in heaven.
This goes to show that there is a binding agreement between a life totally surrendered to the will of God and God in heaven. Such a one is God's Ambassador on earth.
In this episode, Jesus was addressing only Peter.
Later on in Matthew 18vs18, Jesus extended this authority to all the disciples and told them that whatsoever they will bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever they will loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
God had always wanted man to be in charge of earth, hence after He created the heaven for Himself and His hosts, He created the earth for man and asked him to take responsibility. He gave man dominion over the earth.
Man lost that authority to satan when man fell in the Garden of Eden. Jesus came and restored this authority. Now, it is only those who will believe in the finished work He did on the cross at Calvary that are privilege to this authority.
In the course of His teachings while on earth, Jesus had to confer this authority first to Peter, and later to 70 of His disciples.
He gave the disciples powers over foul spirits, Luke 10vs19.
In John 14vs12, He even told His disciples that whoever believes in Him, will do the works that He does and even greater works.
If not authorised they could never have done such great works and miracles that made the Gospel to spread far and wide. This was how the Gospel reached us in this part of the world and other places.
As a Believer you must receive the authority to cast, bind and loose.
A true Believer has the authority to bind, limit, tie, restrain, or forbid foul spirits and also can loose, set free, or untie whatever is bound.
This authority in Christ Jesus to BIND and LOOSE, is only available to whosoever is genuinely born again.
If you are not yet born again, do so now and you will receive this authority to enable you spread the Gospel and bring in more souls into God's Kingdom.
God alone is my Source of health, love, peace, joy, and strength.
MEMORY VERSE
Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
